Mommy to Mami(TM)– The 6-Month Game Plan

Alright y’all—after Blog Post 1, I had quite a few folks reach out like, “Girl, same!” And that just confirmed what I already suspected: a whole lot of us have been pouring from empty cups while forgetting we’re even holding one.

So now that I’ve aired it all out, it’s time to do something about it.

This is my official 6-month glow-up mission. My Mommy to Mami makeover. Not for my husband (though he will benefit, okayyy?), not for anyone else—but for me. Because I want to feel good in my skin again. I want to look in the mirror and see that woman. You know the one—confident, playful, strong, and yes, fine.

So here’s the plan:
1. Move MyBody – 4 to 5 Times a Week We’re talking workouts, not Olympic training. I’m not trying to be a fitness influencer—just consistent. Walks, weight training, dance classes, whatever keeps me moving and sweating. I want to lose weight, sure, but I also want to feel strong and agile. The kind of strong where I can drop it low and get back up without calling for help.

2. Whole Foods > Wine (Most Days) I’m easing off the processed snacks and pouring less wine on weekdays. It’s not about being perfect—it’s about being intentional.

Disclaimer: My 7-day cruise with my high school girlfriends totally derailed this one. But let’s be real—no one goes on a girls' cruise to drink green juice. I consider that week a “hydration detour” with vodka.

We’re back on track now. Pass the salmon and sweet potatoes, please.

3. Get a Stylist (Because I’m Over the Mom Jeans Life) Somewhere between diapers and puberty talks, my cute style walked out the door. I want her back. I’m hiring a stylist to help me feel good in my clothes again. No more random Target runs where I just grab something on sale and hope for the best.

We’re doing COLOR again! We’re doing FIT! We’re doing outfits that say, I didn’t just survive motherhood, I slayed through it.

4. Upgrade the Lingerie Drawer Let’s talk about the graveyard of stretched-out bras and faded cotton panties I’ve been hanging onto. Girl, why?

I’m revamping my lingerie drawer like Victoria Secrets is going out of business. Silks, lace, and sleeping gowns that aren’t cotton tees from a free giveway. And not just for special occasions either. Sexy isn’t a once-a-month event. It’s a mindset.

5. Take a Class That Makes Me Blush (but in the best way) Back in the day, I loved dancing in the clubs. You could not tell me a thing when a good beat dropped—I was out there moving, sweating, vibing, living my best life. But this? This is different.

Now I’m craving something deeper. More intentional. I want to reconnect with my body in a way that feels sensual, not just social. So I’m exploring things like burlesque, pole dancing, maybe even belly dancing (which feels extra special since my mom actually was a belly dancer).

It’s not about performing or impressing anyone. It’s about loosening up, shaking off the awkwardness, and getting back to that confident energy—but this time, for me. From the inside out.

This kind of dancing doesn’t just make you sweat—it wakes something up. And I’m ready.

6. Boudoir Photoshoot (Yup, We’re Doing That Too) This one’s bold for me. But I want to see myself the way I wish I saw myself—strong, sensual, powerful. Not hidden behind filters or insecurities. A boudoir photoshoot isn’t just about the pictures. It’s about the energy. It’s about standing there, vulnerable and beautiful, and saying: This is me. And she’s enough.

7. Mindset: Meditate, Affirm, Rewire The mental reset is just as important as the physical one. I’m adding daily meditation and affirmations to the mix. Not anything fancy—just a few minutes to remind myself that I’m worthy, that I’m evolving, and that this new version of me isn’t coming… she’s already on her way.

8. And Finally… Find a Dang Hobby 🥴 Yes, I’m still struggling with this one. But I’m on the hunt. Something that brings me joy, that has nothing to do with productivity, money, or motherhood. Just something that lights me up. (And no, “scrolling Instagram” does not count.)

Suggestions welcome. Please. Seriously.

So here we go. Six months. One plan. One woman on a mission. And no, it won’t be perfect. I’ll mess up. I’ll skip workouts. I’ll eat chips and salsa for dinner some nights. But the point is—I'm in motion. I’m choosing me again. And at the end of 6 months? I’m going to be better than I was at 35. Not younger. Just bolder. Freer. Sexier. Me-er.

Watch me.
